Holiness and Glory

• There is a connection between holiness and the glory, because God is Holy and the Glory is His manifest presence.

• As believers in Christ Jesus, we pursue holiness as a lifestyle.

• This is not about perfection, but pursuit of living rightly before a Holy God and being consecrated for His use as an act of worship. To be a vessel to carry His Glory.

• We offer our bodies as a living sacrifice before God, and transform our minds with the word of God (Rom.12:1-2). Being a living sacrifice on a firey altar hurts!! But we must die to our sinful nature.

• Salvation is free, but to follow Jesus as a disciple is costly (Luke 9, 14).

• Some ways to pursue holiness:

  • Daily crucifying the sin nature.

  • Repentance, 180 degree turning of the mind toward God and His ways as written in the Bible, renewing the mind.

  • Obedience to Jesus and his commandments.

  • Being seperate from worldly influences that contaminate.

  • Pursuing friendship with Holy Spirit, our Holy helper on this journey.

  • For habitual sin that is difficult to overcome, inner healing and deliverance might be required to help you.
