Why Homeschool?
It’s important to preface this discussion by noting that not all schools or peer relationships within schools are bad. Families that choose to send their children to school, or homeschooling families that decide to send their children back to school, should be supported and celebrated in their decisions.
Why should we choose to homeschool our children?
Jesus as the centre and a biblical worldview behind curriculum choices.
An atmosphere filled with the presence of God.
Children can grow up as uniquely themselves.
Avoiding peer pressure and the negative influences of unhealthy cultural trends on children’s identity formation.
Avoiding bullying situations at school.
Home-educated children can become more confident in speaking with adults and people of various ages, because they have not been conditioned to silence and conformity for most of the day.
The ability to choose quality curriculum and alter the curriculum and levels taught to help children with learning difficulties or extension for gifted children.
TIME with your children. Precious time to get to know your children and develop a wonderful relationship with them.
